Created by Vineet Suri & Dr. Swatee Miittal as a personal retreat, now lovingly shared with guests who understand the value of slowing down. Nestled in Kulhan Mansingh — a small village of just 300 people and 33 families — where slow living isn't a trend, it's simply life.
The farmhouse is named after the Indian Golden Oriole — a vivid yellow bird that visits these grounds, gazes at its own reflection in the mirror, and fills the mornings with song. Over 24 species of birds call this place home. The Golden Oriole symbolises friendship & loyalty — we hope you spot the pair during your stay.

We respectfully request no meat, no eggs, and no alcohol. Yellow Bird is a vegetarian, alcohol-free retreat — part of the property's ethos and the caretaker family's values. Excellent vegetarian options are available nearby on Rajpur Road.
2 cars can be parked securely within the property boundary. If you need more space, let the caretaker know in advance and they'll arrange it nearby.
Brief cuts can happen, usually under 30 minutes. The inverter keeps lighting and Wi-Fi running throughout. AC requires main power, but cuts are typically short and the caretaker monitors the situation.
